We specialize in trips to the following locations, however, any location in the lower 48 that is accessible by horseback or hiking, and is legal to do so will be considered by private treaty.
New York
The Adirondack Park in upstate New York covers 6.1 million acres, which include a constitutionally protected forest preserve of 2.3 million acres. The highest point is Mount Marcy at 5,344 feet above sea level. The Adirondack Park contains 1000’s of streams, brooks, and lakes. There are over 100 summits ranging from 1200’ to over 5000’ in altitude.
The Catskill Mountains known simply as “The Catskills”, are found northwest of New York City, and southwest of Albany. They are west of the Hudson River and lie within the boundaries of 6 counties. They contain more than 30 peaks above 3500’ and parts of 6 rivers. The highest point – at Slide Mountain, has an elevation of 4180’. The Kaaterskill Falls on Spruce Creek near Palenville, are the highest falls in New York state, totaling 260’.
Massachusetts
The Berkshire Mountains are located in western Massachusetts and Connecticut. They form a broad plateau punctuated by hills and peaks, and cut by river valleys. The summits range from 700’ to 1200’, with the highest point located at Crum Hill at 2841’.
Vermont
The Green Mountains extend approximately 250 miles (400 km)through western Vermont. There are 5 peaks over 4000”, with the highest peak being Mount Mansfield at 4,393’ which is also the highest point in Vermont. They support a dense boreal forest which accounts for the “green” in the mountains.
