Why would anyone do this kind of business?
There is a real need for this kind of service. Everyone should have the right to choose his/her final resting place- which may not always be a cemetery. For horse lovers, adventurers, cowboys, or anyone – a final ride to their resting place could be just the freedom and adventure they seek. Many people do not have access to horses, or the equipment necessary to do this.
What type of client would this service appeal to?
This service may appeal to many different types of people, for many different reasons. Some people just don’t feel comfortable with the thought of traditional burials. In our “green” age, many conscientious people wish for their remains to be returned to earth – without the use of concrete walls, expensive vaults and coffins, and the use of land for cemetaries. Some people are nature or horse lovers, and feel that this is right for them or their loved one. Some loved adventure all their lives, and this is one final adventure. In some situations, sadly enough, some people may have no one left alive to visit them at a cemetery, so this is a perfect solution.
Some statistics on environmental issues with conventional burial compiled by the Casket and Funeral Assoc. of America, Cremation Association of North America, Doric Inc., The Rainforest Action Network, and Mary Woodsen, Pre-Posthumous Society: Each year, 22,500 cemeteries across the USA bury approximately 30 million board feet of hardwood (caskets), 90,272 tons of steel (caskets), 14,000 tons of steel (vaults), 2,700 tons of copper and bronze (vaults), 1,636,000 tons of reinforced concrete (vaults), 827,060 US gallons of embalming fluid which most commonly includes formaldehyde.
Can I make arrangements for myself in the future?
Yes – you can plan your own service, and pick the location.
If I make arrangements for the future, and pay now, what happens to my money if for some reason the service can not be carried out?
If you are paying for a future service, there will be a legal contract signed by both parties. The money taken for the service will be deposited in an escrow account and will not be touched until the service is complete. In the event that the service can not be carried out, the money would be returned to whomever the agreed upon individual would be, and the contingency plan would be carried out.
Will I be able to ride with you to carry out the service?
Family and friends would never be turned away, but additional arrangements would need to be made. We often ride in rough terrain which requires moderate to advanced riding skills. Due to liability and the unpredictable nature of horses – certain criteria must be met to keep all safe. We are flexible, and suitable arrangements should be possible in most situations.

Do we offer this service for pets?
Absolutely! We are animal lovers ourselves, and have rescued many, many animals over the years. We truly understand the bond that exists between a beloved pet and their owner, and offer the same reverent care to their service as we would a human. In fact, many pet owners do not have a plot of land to bury their pet, so this may be the perfect solution.
